Guitar Classes

The whole family can take this class together! This group class is a great way to de-mystify the guitar and build a strong musical base. The 8-week course includes proper posture and positioning, easy music theory and fret-board harmony, notation (how to read music), beginning and advanced chords, ear training (playing by ear), and rhythmic training using the natural percussive qualities of the guitar. This is a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere to insure confidence and success.

ONGOING Group Rock Guitar Classes at Studio
Our Group Rock Guitar classes at the studio are on going and you can start at any time. When the students at the Group Rock Guitar classes at Hill Creek Elementary complete that class, then they can join the class at the Woodside studio.
The Rock Guitar class is laid back and easy going. It is a fun class that isn’t just about learning the guitar, but having fun and rocking and learning about different types of rock music and bands and how to play along with the music and improvise with chords and licks. We teach rock songs and encourage the students to explore and play different types of rock music. The studio is filled with amps and guitars and kids get to blast their instruments and take turns banging the drums. Bring your own guitar, but if you don’t have one, there are some that we can let you borrow while you are in class.
When there is more than 10 students, we add another class, so there is never anymore than 10 kids per class. Rate is $75.00 per month for one hour lesson each week. Open session, no contracts, ongoing class. Ages: 9-17
Start now and your child will be ready to join the Summer Rock Camp in July. (more info below).

Bongocizing is now in San Diego! What is bongocizing?
Developed in San Diego, Bongocizing is a low-impact exercise developed for beginning exercisers, seniors, disabled and those with chronic problems like arthritis, osteoporosis, and joint injuries, and is also effective in treating many conditions, like diabetes, asthma, post-traumatic stress disorder, Alzheimer’s and Down syndrome.
Drumming gives a physical and emotional workout that relieves stress by allowing your body to recognizing the inherent healing ability it has through rhythm. With drumming, you can discover your own emotional and creative expression as you discover your own inner rhythms. You can relieve stress and receive a low impact workout, at the same time.
Your musical therapist will teach you techniques on drumming and lead you through the best exercise classes you have ever taken. You will be having such a good time, you won’t even realize your exercising.
First session start in September, so sign up now to secure your spot!
Classes 40 minutes long. $20.00 each class. Bring your own “drum” and save $5.00.
If you are a event coordinator and would like to learn more about Bongocizing and would like us to bring Bongocizing to your facility, just call or email. We offer lower rates for groups over 20.
