Music Time does not have contracts and you can stop your lessons at any time, but we do have some policies in place that help keep the studio running smoothly.
Tuition
For monthly payments, the tuition for the whole month is due on the first lesson of the month*. If for any reason you have to cancel the first lesson of the month you will need to mail or drop off your payment so it can be received in time. If you wait till the your child’s next lesson to pay, you will accrue a late fee of $10.00.
*If your payment is past due for more than 5 calendar days, a late fee of $10 will be charged. For example, if you miss paying the first lesson of the month, and you wait to pay at the next lesson you will need to add a $10.00 late fee. If a payment is past due for more than 14 days the student’s piano lessons will be suspended until the tuition has been paid in full.
Vacations
Students will be charged a holding fee for vacations that are longer than two consequently missed lessons of $15.00, for each lesson that you will be missing. For example, if you go on vacation for the whole month of August, then you need to pay a holding fee of $30.00 for the month of August.
Holidays
Teachers work most school holidays. They will notify you in advance if they will not be working a particular holiday and adjust the tuition. If you are aware of a particular holiday that falls on your regular lesson day that you would like to take off, with prior notice, if the teacher is able they will move you to another day that week.
Cancellation
Lessons are scheduled year round.
If you need to reschedule a lesson please call or send an e-mail to your teacher at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson in order to schedule a makeup lesson. If you cannot find your teachers phone number, please call the studio phone and the receptionist will call them for you.
There is no credit or refund for a canceled lesson.
In case of emergency, or sudden illness, please call, or leave a message as soon as possible before your child’s lesson is scheduled to start. Please let your teacher know if you want a make up lesson or will be forfeiting the lesson.
In the case of no-call-no-show the student forfeits the lesson – it will not be rescheduled and payment is still due and payable at the next lesson, if it has not already been prepaid.
You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.
